Famous For Fabulous Furniture

Introducing Parker Knoll
"The Jewellery of Furniture"

Savi Furniture is proud to announce our exclusive distributorship of Parker Knoll in Australia, and we invite you to visit our Showroom and experience the feeling of being "suspended in luxury."

From humble beginnings in a simple workshop in London circa 1869, the Parker & Sons chair making business steadily grew over time into the Parker Knoll company and, in doing so, revolutionised domestic upholstery.

Many of the company's top selling models were designed in the 1930s and are still extremely popular today; the Penshurst frame remains unchanged since 1950 and still feels right today; mention the word 'recliner' and people instinctively think of Parker Knoll - a mixture of easy chair, footstool and chaise longue, the Parker Knoll recliner swiftly became the best selling chair for many years after its introduction in 1930.

Known everywhere for their sumptuous luxury fabric range from the finest mills across the world and their exceptional craftsmanship, Parker Knoll create simply beautiful furniture.

Broadcasting to the British public in 1935, King Edward V111 was seated on a Parker Knoll chair and a number of the world's greatest ocean liners - including the famous Aquitania heralded as "one of the most elegant rooms afloat" - were furnished with
Parker chairs.

The Salone del Mobile was founded in 1961 in Milano on the initiative of a small group of furniture manufacturers with the aim of promoting quality Italian furniture exports. In just a few years it became the world’s most influential and frequented event in the field of furniture and of design, showcasing furniture that is beautiful, exciting and innovative.

For one single week every year, Milan now fills with armies of designers, journalists, manufacturers and retailers from around the world pounding the well-heeled pavements of the city to catch some of the hundreds of shows on offer.

Our own Maurizio Savi was at the 51st Salone Internazionale del Mobile held recently in Milan and caught up with some of our existing partners as he does every year, as well as forging relationships with some wonderful new Savi Suppliers and Products coming on board.....more on Maurizio's exciting new finds in our next 'Made In Italy' Blog.

In the meantime, take a look through Maurizio's window of ideas below:
